Leading Online Presenters Toastmasters to charter was David Carr’s DTM project in 2017, and he currently serves as its Vice President of Education. In 2022, he chaired the EVV CON event (formerly known as VTM CON) dedicated to celebrating and promoting excellence in online presentations, with former World Champion of Public Speaking Mike Carr (no relation) as its keynote speaker. He has also written multiple articles for Toastmasters magazine on topics including hybrid meetings and the importance of club websites.

 
After years as a technology journalist, David currently works as a writer and web traffic analyst for Similarweb. He moonlights as a web consultant, is the author of several WordPress plugins, and runs the Toastmost.org club website hosting service. He is the author of the book Social Collaboration for Dummies and has spoken at technology conferences internationally.
